#9, a Photo with Something or Someone that is clearly out of place.

This is a sign posted on the inside of the door of a men's restroom in a restaurant.  Clearly out of place!

Sunset on a rainy day

It had rained most of the day, finally stopping around 6:30, which was fortunate, since we were sitting in a ballpark, watching a baseball game.  The game was over around 8:30.  There were many dark clouds threatening more rain.  Driving home, this was the sunset I saw beneath the clouds.  Photo was taken from inside the car, and completely unretouched.  It's not the traditional sunset photo, but I thought it had an interesting look to it.

So here is #5, A Sunset

#2 Theater for the Performing Arts

#2, theater for performing arts.  This is the North McKinney High School auditorium, where Fiddler on the Roof opened last night.  My family was in attendance.  It is community theater, but an excellent venue, and a very talented cast.  And also fulfilled another spot on the list.

Frisco Farmers Market

Today we went to the Frisco Farmers Market, specifically to get a photo of an Open Air Market.  This Farmers Market is so small its a joke, and prices are about twice what produce costs in a grocery store here.  Freshly baked pies for $18, loaf of banana bread for $10.  Small basket of peaches for $5.  We had a fabulous Farmers Market in Livermore, Ca. and it was open on Thursday evenings, from 4:30 to 8:00, so you could go after work.  And the prices were great.  But here is the photo of what we have here.  I have 7 more photos to get.

Fisherman

this is #19, a fisherman.  Located at a local pond, I only had my phone with me to take a photo, and couldn't get close enough to get a good one.  So at some point I may find a better opportunity, but for now, here is my fisherman.

A Pair of lost ducks

I had to throw this one in.  It qualifies as #9, a photo of something that is clearly out of place.  Except that I took it in May.  This pair of mallard ducks were strolling across a lawn of a house catty corner to us.  Not unusual ducks, but unusual in our suburban housing tract, since there are no ponds or other water near to us.  They must have gotten just a little lost.

A bonus

I took a few photos that had nothing to do with the scavenger hunt.  Here is my favorite.

Another Photo Hunt

My husband, Mike, and I took a nice drive today, looking for scavenger photo opportunities.  We found quite a few, and I was quite happy with some of the photos I took, not so much with others.  So here is what we got today,  I leave the verdict up to you all (or as we say in Texas, y'all)

Item #4, an airplane, went to a local small airport we'd never been to before to get this picture
Item #13, a fence.  This is a redo, cause the first one was my old, dilapidated fence at home
Item #15, a firetruck or police car.  Already got the police car, but we were following this vehicle, and I thought it almost qualified as a fire truck,  and couldn't resist
Both of these shots are item# 16, a windmill.  I thought it lent itself well to sepia

Item #8, a tower.  One of our many water towers.  Each town has several, all marked with the town name.  A remnant of times past, still in use today.
And if that wasn't enough, here is the old and new juxtipositioned.  An old water tower and a new cell tower.  I wish the photo was better, but I was shooting out the tinted car window. Did a little post processing to improve it, but I'm not that skilled.

Still Trying

This is #10, a bench that is outside.  It's actually in my backyard garden.
This is #13, a fence, also in my backyard, and scheduled to be replaced shortly
This is #6, someone/something taking a nap.  My cat, Misty, napping among the pillows on my bed.
This is #17, candles, in a candleabra in a niche in my house
This is #3, it's a former courthouse in Denton, Texas, now serves as a museum.  It's really awesome
This is #15, a police car in my town of Frisco, Texas
This is #18, a local pub, though not very impressive
This is #7, a sign that is unintentionally funny.  A savings of .01 cent is hilarious
This is #20 substitute, a sundial.  Couldn't find a dinosaur.  The sundial says on it "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be", and we brought it from our garden in California to our new garden in Texas
